Barbara Walker

Barbara Walker brings 30 years of healthcare leadership and a specialized mastery of ASC and surgical hospital development to the Apex Design Build team.

Over the last 12 years, Barbara has executed nearly 90 ASC and surgical hospital capital projects nationwide, representing over $550M in value as an ASC corporate development executive. Her expertise spans the entire project lifecycle—from pro forma development and real estate negotiations to facility design/construction, financing and budget management, Private Placement Memorandum securities offerings, and guiding de novo operational launch through the first year of operations.

Throughout her career, Barbara has strengthened organizational stability and growth by developing and managing foundational financial, project management, CRM, and policy and procedure infrastructure. 

At Apex, she partners with management companies and physician practices to transform complex capital projects into streamlined, cost-effective, and high-performing surgical facilities.

 

Barbara lives in Dallas, TX with her husband, their five children, one grandchild, one dog and two cats.
